release date

im so confused. i was under the impression that half blood prince comes out july 17 (in the US), then i saw a preview that said july 15. ive gone to a bunch of different websites and half say the 15, half say the 17. the warner brothers site and yahoo both say the 17, but wikipedia and mugglenet say the 15. anybody know for sure which date it is?

Well there are probably previews on the 15th but official release is the 17th? That seems like the most obvious explanation.

Why not see when theatres near you are playing it?

They moved up the release to the 15th. It's on the WB website.
