I painted my nails really fast before heading to the Phil tonight... now I have managed to get nail polish on my mousepad. Like, the little pad that is my mouse on my laptop, not the soft thing that goes under a desktop hand mouse.
Anyone know if polish remover will kill it?

West Side Story tonight, and pizza I hope!

It's a fingerpad or a glidepad. Just FYI.

Anyway, I don't think remover should hurt it if you use minimal amount... I'd google first to check, though.

oh thank you, that certainly helped my google search. I think it's going to be alright if I use just a tiny bit.

I'd say, call whichever company made your laptop. I don't know what acetone does to plastic. XD; It's possible that you could use a tiny amount of polish remover on it, as long as you were very careful not to get it into any openings on your laptop. But then your laptop would smell like polish remover. Would it work to just wait until the polish wears/chips off, or did you get a whole lot of polish on there?

It's just a couple tiny spots, so it might chip off, but I know that polish doesn't like coming off tile or bathroom counters, I wasn't sure if this would be different. I think it will be alright if I use a tiny tiny bit.
