Ohhhhh, Sandy. I've enjoyed this 'verse all along, and I'm so pleased you brought it to such a satisfying conclusion. Jensen and his relationship with his mother are at the heart of everything, and it's fitting to have them be the focus here. Plus those quirky thoughts like, "Jensen wonders if Jared maybe forgot for a moment that they were engaged and that generally a wedding followed that." *snort* Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

Thank you so much for sticking with it. I wrote the first one 6 years ago!!! I am really pleased I finished it. And I hope it holds up as a complete novel versus a disjointed series, especially since I never really plotted it out like I've done other, longer stories. But you and all the readers have been great at motivating me. Thank you!!!

I'm sorry, but this didn't redeem Donna for me one little bit. It just reenforced how much she stole from Jensen. m :/

Agree that Donna has *not* gone through a redemption arc. I'm not sure she can or should be redeemed. Remember that Jensen is a very unreliable narrator in this verse. He sees his mother in a way others (Jared and Danni, for instance) do not. My goal was to get Jensen to a very different place from where he began. I think it's fair to say I accomplished that. He's more open emotionally and he's willing to say what he needs. In this case, he needed Jared as his husband before facing his fears about his father ( ... )

Satisfying end! Bravo!

I think your way of ending it was actually better than my desire to have Donna kick the bucket and Jensen suffer over what a horrible relationship they'd had after all :)

Told you I'd keep her alive and kicking. Even kicking up some sand :) Thanks for your ongoing support of this story. It literally would not have existed without you. <3

I so enjoyed the ending and am only sad that the verse is done. I loved this verse, even when it was breaking my heart or full of hurt and prickly. Donna was so awful but in such a regal, controlled way, and ultimately showing her own damage. She didn't set out to be evil or cold, and I think in the end she--while not "redeemed"--nonetheless was able to allow for Jensen's happiness and accept him as he is. There's been a lot of changes and travails and love and pain, and all of it played out against the beautiful backdrop of ocean and moon and fog. That Jensen has learned to appreciate the sun--Jared--is a testament to his own strength and persistence, qualities he didn't even believe he possessed.

Beautiful work, bb, my applause.

Thank you so much. What a lovely comment. Thank you also for sticking with this one despite how long it took to ultimately finish. It was more experiment than novel writing. Fandom is where one can play in safety :) *hug*
