Eeeeeee. Jensen is dead! And yet he lives! I really like this mystery. :)

“If you want to help him, you’ll need to let him go, for a little while,” he said softly.
Awww, and so true. Not that that's going to be an easy argument to make to Jensen.

“Yeah. I know. I know, okay. Got the face of an angel. But angels are warriors. Fierce when they need to be. Just don’t forget that.”
Oooh, I like this. Nice little reference to the show, too.

“I shopped since then.”
“Dog food’s for dogs, Jay.”
“Sadie will share in a pinch.”
This was so funny! I was just giggling and giggling.

The wet flakes struck his eyes in nasty little flicks and tangled in his lashes, then dripped onto his cheeks. Icy cold.
Yeah, that has been our weather lately, and this is a perfect description of it. Brrr.

Like someone had erased the world.
Really nice.

Every so often he would lift his head and call Jensen’s name against the snow, but no matter how loudly he tried to force his voice the blizzard swallowed the word. And this line is just so perfect I read ( ... )

Hi again. I'm glad you are still enjoying this and like the plot twist with who Jensen really is. Thanks for sharing parts you especially liked. The 'angels are warriors' was my deliberate shout-out to SPN and I'm glad you noted it.

The snow storm section was pretty much penned by borgmama1of5, my beta. She lives in an area with much snow and I so tapped her cold-producing skills. Of the two parts you singled out -- the 'erasing the world' was a collaboration of both us, wherein she edited my original.

The 'swallowed the world' is lovely and it's all my beta's so I'll let her know! :D

If you can please leave a little love for apieceofcake and her artwork when you are done. It's so good I squee every time I come here to reply to something and get to see it again.

Ah ha! So they finally know who Jensen really is (well, not officially yet). Jared may not have done the smart thing, lying to Jeff that Jensen was there in the apartment with them, but I think it was the only choice he had. Jensen would’ve left otherwise and then who knows how long it would be until Jensen showed up again.

And what does this mean?

“Jeff … police … take me …. Cannot. Will die first. This time. Will succeed.”

Will succeed this time? Hmmm. Interesting statement.

Oh, poor Jensen, only 17 when his parents died. Then it wasn’t too many years after that when Jensen was injured and ended up on the streets. Although he doesn’t remember his parents, gosh, my heart goes out to him.

Jensen’s time in the mental facility, oh my, that was as bad as I feared. That restrained him, kept him drugged. I had much the same reaction as Jared when Jensen spoke of the man who molested him. I’m glad that Jensen was able to assure Jared that what they had was something Jensen wanted.

And I have to quote this, so beautiful:

“Whether or ( ... )

It was a blast working in the fairy tale elements. Riding that line between fairy tale and reality. I had some critique that I should have gone one way or the other. Some didn't like the tightrope act. Personally, I believe I did make a decision. But, as fits this story's theme, that's up for interpetation ;)

I know. It's easier to read the story in the summer time. Part of why I wrote this aside from enjoying a good fairytale and a good romance personally, was I really wanted to explore the notion of what we 'see' every day. Or the difference between seeing and looking. Or something like that :)

I guess... but trust me I'm not waiting for summer to come before finishing it

Jensen, poor guy. He and Jared are trying to save the world by themselves *smh* I feel that at the end of this fairy tale, I'm going to be sad that Jensen lost 10 years of his life to a brain injury and he's been scared all this time b/c of something that was perceived wrong. It could go another way, but yeah.
The guilt that Jared feels over not being able to help other people and the animals at the shelter, I go through the same thing. It can be crushing. I really identify with Jared in this story.
On a more personal note:
I could never do what Jared does. I don't know how to categorize it (sympathetic, emotional, just being a woman), but I went in to a shelter to adopt a pet just a few years ago. I got maybe halfway through, before my sobs were so loud that I had to walk out for a few minutes. The workers thought I was nuts probably. My husband just rolled his eyes:) I can't help it though...I did get ahold of myself and go back in, but I could only stay there for a few moments at a time. Thought you could relate to that little

You sound like a lovely, sensitive person. I have my sensitivities, too. Not animals particularly although I would never want to see an animal abused in any way. But they don't emotionally gut me like other things can. I meant to ask if you watch Glee. Lately I've been Chris Colfer obsessed. He can get to me.

Thank you, I believe we're both sensitive over children, am I correct, being mothers doubles that I think. I do watch Glee!!!....Chris Colfer, oh.mi.god, what a fantastic person. He was born to entertain. He has such an expressive face and emotion that pulses off the screen! When he cries....I cry. He tries to be so strong, *sobs*.

Need to take CC obsession offline. I'd love to have someone to squee with over Kurt and Blaine. Tell me you love Klaine, please. But Chris is my fave. Did you catch his performance in the play about prop 8 -- called "8"? It aired yesterday. Still on YouTube for one week. It's a must --

I haven't written any Glee fanfic yet. But I'm itching to. It's about to burst out.

Maybe PM me with your email so I can write back?
