My only issue with the depression vs music or books study is that they didn't attempt to quantify the type of music involved. If those subjects were listening to rap or heavy metal or some of that other crap out there that is loosely termed "music" it's not surprising they're depressed. Hell, I would be too.

On the other hand, if they were listening to Bach or Mozart or some other classical composers, I think I'd truly be surprised by that outcome. The idea of the study was fine, but they didn't ask enough questions, or...the right kind of questions.
