Color Me Purple - 20 icons for splash20in20

Apr 18, 2016 01:16

Purple is, next to royal blue, one of the best power colors to me. I feel confident when I'm wearing it, and I'm sure that's the reason why this color is associated with kings and queens (and certain elite marksmen ;) ) Anyway, this batch was created for Round 1 of splash20in20. Enjoy!

I love your artist's choice icons. They're so beautiful!

Thank you! Yes, they are, though the stone is even more beautiful when you see one for real. It's captivating, especially when it's a druse stone (#2 and #6). You can't see every single crystal, and you feel the itch to explore the depths, if only to see all of the beauty it holds.

Great idea for artist's choice icons. :D And the legend is quite beautiful too.
As for the others, my favorires are summer and nose down.

thank you! Well, I chose this version, though there's a rather similiar one starring the Roman god Dionysos (which is, imho, not quite as beautiful as this one from the Greeks)

Summer was pretty much a taken theme from the very start, since the big fields of lavender are all but screaming "summer" to me. And "nose down" was just happening, since the pic I initially had planned for it didn't work the way I wanted it to.
