This year, for the very first time ever, I purchased and set up my own Christmas tree, all by myself.

I know, right?? I love that this was the very first longer-than-two-word exchange I've had with any of them, ahahaha.

IT IS PRECIOUS AND LITTLE AND SMELLS LOVERLY. Now if only I can keep the cat from gnawing on it.

Well, of course we do. That's how we spot each other in a crowd, obviously. :D

Can I also say, this was possibly the most butch I have ever been. I finished sawing (after 48384975 hours, omg) and my sense of accomplishment was downright stone age. Woman strong! Woman cut trees into smaller trees! Woman make fire! Not right this second, but woman could totally make fire if she felt the urge!

It is the most adorable tree. Idk how we're going to fit all of our ornaments on it, but hey.

\o/!

I really love that it was the FIRST place they went, mentally, when confronted with the data at hand. Flannel + tree + saw + politeness = Canadian?
