Alyx was born around 1967. She's smart, tough, and brave; she knows what she wants and goes after it. She is not beautiful. JoAnna Russ is one of my favorites! How to Suppress Women's Writing does one of the best jobs I've seen for explaining how subtle some suppressions can be.

I've got this, but haven't read it yet. I have read her other critical/feminist text though, TO WRITE LIKE A WOMAN. Interesting stuff, there. :)

Hi Sandra,

I wrote a story called "Lost and Found" and out of curiosity googled the title to see what else was out there. I found your story at Strange Horizons, read it, and adored it. It made me cry. I'm really glad I stumbled on it. I'm in the UK and your collection of short stories isn't available as a paper book here but I found it on Smashwords and I can't wait to read more.

Thanks!

Jen, hi! Nice to meet you. That story is one of my favorites, too :-) Thank you for the kind words. And for getting the collection on Smashwords. I hope you enjoy it.
