I guess this is thick copper? Fencing wire gauge? Just wondering, really - i don't know how one would do that, other than fire. Also i had a brief image of you stripping an extension cord and zapping the ends together!

It was 18 gauge the first time and I also managed with 14 gauge. Rather thick, yes.
