Aww. Sorry to hear it was disappointing, Michael. I didn't know this was your 50th. I really wish they'd announce ALL their shows ALL at the same time, so we can plan, you know? It really makes it hard to decide on trips ahead of time. :( Wish we'd at least been there for you.
And shows are sometimes disappointing for all for us, for whatever reason. It just sucks that this was #50 *and* crappy. My show #49 had me walking away wondering if I should just not see them for awhile (and I had tickets for #50 two days later). Don't blame yourself, just take a breath, and.... move on! :)
I think I was more disgusted with myself afterward than anything (it was a loong ride/therapy session on the way home). Good old lj is still my #1 way of clearing my head and moving on.
I read this a while ago, and meant to comment, but I've been an LJ deadbeat lately!
I've had my share of disappointing concerts. I'll have one where I feel that all these cool and amazing things are going to happen and then it just plain sucks. And then I'll have one where I don't expect anything, and it all comes together really amazingly. It's one reason I don't make a big thing out of "milestone" concerts--although tbh, the other reason is that I never remember when they are coming up. I had to open my list today and update it to figure out what Indian Ranch was going to be (it will either be show 95, 96 or 97, depending on whether I go to Oswego and/or NJ or not) I think my biggest disappointments are always right after I have an incredible experience, so I'm sorta thinking that since S&D4 was so awesome, I need to go to Oswego to get a "bad" show out of the way before Indian Ranch, lol. ;)
