O'...

[A minor pause, and he turns at the sound of the other's voice.]

Archbishop....

Mn..

[His tone and air is rather void of any distinguishable regard. Neither swaying far to the left or right, he seemed drained from their quarrel at the hospital. His eyes were still covered and his hands lied upon the cornerstone behind the priest, using it as his braille through the church.]

I could never bring myself to evangelize. I was wary of what might come if I opened those doors freely.

[He was just...Rather astounded that the man was speaking to him at all, let alone initiating an open conversation as casually as if they'd never spoken wrongly to one another to begin with.

For once he stood in awe of his fellow Iscariot, not hurrying to his side, but rather just craning his ear to listen.]

Merelieh whit th' guid Lord intended.

[A Confessional... There was one in the church that she used to live in, and Naoto used it once to talk to Bishop about something. Though it was only "to set the right mood".]

.....

[How would she ever be able to use such a thing, even if she wanted to?]

[Peers in at the little commlink when he thought he heard a familiar 'ping', giving a tiny smile.]

[That distracted her enough to distance herself from her worries a bit.]

Good evening, Father.

Are you working at the church by yourself?

[For the most part, her communicator had been largely ignored throughout most of the day. She was currently recovering from her (now loli-esque, much to her amusement chagrin) Master's little mind-trick, having hypnotized her and put her to sleep for...well, a good while.

A terrifying thing to wake up to, however, is the sound of Death itself. For Seras, that would be the sound of Father Alexander Anderson, coming from somewhere in her room. She froze almost immediately, staring up at the ceiling for what seemed like an eternity before she realizes that his voice seemed to be in Stereo, instead of actually being anywhere near her. He was speaking to the masses, (as he would've never spoken so... genially with her in the first place) saying that Confessional had opened up? Oh yeah, that's right, he was a legit Priest, wasn't he? She'd forgotten that little detail ( ... )

Oho.

[It doesn't take long for the sound to attract his keen ear, the stern-faced Regenerator staring directly at the Draculina completely deadpan. You couldn't tell by the way he stilled if he was chilled by her appearance and mulling over the possibility of flaying her hide, or if somehow the gates of Holiness compelled him to remain silent. Her best bet would've been to cut the frequency line entirely and hope to God he'd forget seeing her face. Alas, with that penetrating jade boring holes, it would've been far too late for that, unless the Count could wash it from his mind-again, highly unlikely.

What was more, he recognized that voice. There could never be any mistaking that dulcet tone, as he was well acquainted...]

...Sae ye've coom.

Ah dinna think barriers'd keep ye oot, leetle girl.

[Goddamnit. How... she was just watching!

No, maybe... For a moment she didn't respond to him, wondering if he was just talking to someone else and had the camera angled strangely...

Well, there was that damn "rec" symbol blinking again. She really needed to figure out how she was always turning that thing on. Of course it would be her luck to turn it on now of all times, pitting her face to face (despite how far away she was from him, distance wise) with her would-be Executioner.]

I.. H-hello, Father. L-look, this was oll an accident, I--... my phone-thing.. it... 'm sorry. It jus' k-kinda came on b-by itself. I didn' call t'harass you o-or ennythin'...

[And that was the truth. Frankly, she didn't want a repeat of that night in Badrick. She liked, you know, remaining un-stabbed. It was a hobby. Despite trying to keep a serious tone, as well as a stern but apologetic expression, her fear was damn near palpable, even over the line.]

[A hard glint, and his jaw tightened, the waiver in her timid voice sparking the very root of his fervidity, a transient madness twisting his unsteady guts. Her appearance was enough to portend A Coming of Darkness, something no less horrific in his mind than Midian had been-the leading of lambs to slaughter.]

Ye're ae lang way frem home, dinna ye think.

[And he could sense that impression-it was written all over her face. As a destroyer of vile, filthy demons such as herself, the detection of terror was practically in his job description.]

Thoo' ah canna imagine ye're here alone.

Th' Mass-o' moore precisely, th' holy sacrifice o' th' Mass, es th' most important, central, ahn sacred act o' worship o' mae religion. Catholicism. Et es oor greatest prayer tae oor God, th' most solemn act o' devotion.
