The knock at the door is brusque, but the face is the familiar guise of James Rettigue. The Shadow is distracted, anticipating trouble on the way, and calculating how long it might take to probe Myra's mind. He wants that out of the way before his alternate calls wondering where he is. That hurry may mean Myra is in for an unpleasant experience indeed.

He is also clad in a dark suit, with the cloak over one arm, which means he's ready to don it at a moment's notice.

Myra lets him in without fanfare, noting he has plans, but being mostly out of the loop at this point, she couldn't say what those plans were.

"Tea?" Yes or no, she's removing the kettle from the stove, and should he abstain, she'll simply sit down and let the water cool. She has no intention of being a delay.

"Not right now." He casts the cloak onto the back of a chair, entering as if he owns the place, which he technically does. He does sit, however, and seems to expect her to do the same. This is no social call, and his current manner is not the friendly one she is so often treated to.

"Your chief called me," He hesitates, partly over calling his alternate that, and partly because he does not want to worry her over things she can't be too heavily involved in. "I'll be going there from here, so you've got my car for a short while."

"Alright. I don't know if I'll need it, but thanks." She leaves the kettle on a cold burner and quickly joins him. "Anything I need to do for this?" She realizes there is some measure of urgency to his brusqueness, though not in any ways that would tell her if there was a developing situation, or just a meeting.
