Bars or restaurants within walking distance? What's the commute like? I work in Old Town, and a morning shift would start at either 6:30 or 7:30AM.

I don't commute anywhere (I work at home) and I haven't seen morning hours more than a few times in the last few months, so I won't be of much help on the commute answer... I've had to drive up to Orange County a few mornings since moving down here in December, so I know that going west on the 8 towards the 805 took less than 10 minutes between 7am and 8am. The few times I've had to commute from my employer's office in UTC, during afternoon rush-hour, it took me about 25 minutes to get home in heavy traffic. It'd probably be about 20-30 minutes' drive from Old Town, but as stated, the trolley stops within a couple minutes' walk, so that's always an option ( ... )
