Fic-iversary!

It's my ficiversary! A year ago today, I finished writing my very first fanfic, Extracurricular. Hard to believe it's been so long already, but I sure have had a blast. I thought I'd look back on the past year with a little meme.

Total Word Count: 151,750. WHAT THE HELL. o_O

DAMNNNNNN! That's some serious word count for the year. Especially on top of all the OF writing you do. Congratulations on a successful first year!

Thanks! I am blown away by that word count. Hell, I was blown away a couple months ago when it was something like 80k.

What is even crazier is that 140k of that has been in the last six months. What the everloving hell.

I have a problem with brevity too. No matter how short I intend to make something it always ends up a bit longer.

I just can't believe that six months ago, I was going, "Nooo, I couldn't ever do a big bang, longfic intimidates meeeee." HA. HA. HA. HA.

I think my resolution for the next year should probably be titles. Gah, titles are so so hard for me.

Titles are hit and miss for me. Sometimes I can easily come up with a title, sometimes it takes a lot of effort.

Ugh, they are so hard for me, it's ridiculous. Every once in a blue moon a title comes easily, but mostly I end up beating my head on the desk, bemoaning the fact that writers can't go with "Untitled #40" like artists can, and then going with something stupid because it's better than nothing and I just want to be able to post it, dammit.
