kitty-fic has been doing this cool drawing-a-day thing, and drawing is always something I've wanted to do but never had the dedication to devote much time to it because writing was always more interesting. But I can totally do one drawing a day, so I've been inspired by her example and am joining in!

You probably could make his face narrower and work on the cheekbones, but it's a really good first effort, definitely so much better than I could do. And with practice you'll definitely improve.

But yes, the neckerchief means that is clearly Merlin. :)

Thanks! :D I haven't drawn anything in aaaages. I'm probably lucky I remembered the correct proportions and placement of the features on the face. XD I think tomorrow I'll try (1) drawing on a larger scale, and (2) definitely giving him a narrower head. And maybe throwing a little shading in there if I'm feeling brave. ;) Shading intimidates me a lot, but no way to learn except to do it, right? :)

You shouldddd! To make me feel better when I work up the gumption to try drawing from an actual photo reference, instead of just "eh, pointy chin, wispy hair, neckerchief, good enough, OF COURSE IT'S HIM." ;)
