Dear God, why didn't I read this earlier? I may have mentioned before that I rather liked L5R but never had the chance to actually play it (whether the card game or the way you guys did - I much prefer your way, though), so I settled for the books.

Still, those quotes had me laughing my fool head off, and I'm still wheezing right now as I type this.

Best ones: Kuroshin beating the stuffing out of an Oni while trying to ride it like a bull at the rodeo, and the reactions of Nasami's friends if they found out that certain indiscreet comments were made at Winter Court.

*mumbles*

Must start writing something about Kotori (character for S7)...

Yeah, I thought you might like these! And the sad thing is, for all the ones we have written down, we had hundreds more that didn't get remembered. Ah, well. God, I still miss that game.

I recently found all of our notes on the game, and am working on novelizing the adventures of Hida Kaminari and his mooks. :)

I so miss that game. Glad to know someone else had a few good laughs from it, too!

Bill: "You’re right, four raises on Katana of Fire is pretentious..."
*sh-whoosh sound effect as a Katana of Fire appears in Ujiro’s hand*
Bill: "Five on the other hand is downright f***ing intimidating."

*giggles* oh my god thats funny ^.^...and this is reminding me of afew of my own

after several times of us crossing Bieden pass with the SAME scorpion guard, our dragon decided to be dificult and lean forward and whisper "may you live in interesting times" freaked the poor bastard out. On our way back, yet again, Ryoko Owari was burning and the monk leaned forward..paused andthen just shook his head and walked off. The poor man's hair was white the next time we saw him...bad tattoed monk...bad

Yeah, both our Dragons were cryptic bastards (Craig's former ronin didn't count... he used to be a Lion/Scorpion... never was a true Dragon). Nasami got along with Kuroshin just fine, because they both spoke the way of the sword. She and the monk on the other hand just spent a lot of time staring at one another in confusion, each thinking the other was completely insane.

John keeps trying to convince me to run my own L5R game one of these days. I said maybe once I was done running 7th Sea I'd give it a shot.
