Maybe it was the video. Grainy quality and all, there was something to be said for seeing Sarah for the first time in nearly seven months. For knowing it was a risk, what they'd done, what they'd paid Pickman to do. It was closure, in a way, but it was still a risk.

She's not asleep when he wakes up, hasn't been yet. Couldn't sleep. Instead, she's sitting against the headboard and watching that video on mute. Again. It bothers her more, the second and third and fourth time. Sarah's reaction. Her own reaction to Sarah's reaction.

Still, when John wakes up, she sets her laptop down. "John?"

"Yeah." It's incredibly hard to stop himself from saying 'I'm here', but that it another call and response.

"I think I'm okay. What are you doing?" Since she's sitting up and he doesn't want to talk about what he dreamt of right away. He wants to think about it.

"You think or you are?" Oh, Allison. She shrugs. "Couldn't sleep, so I was watching that video." At least she's not lying.
