I was chitchatting with damnskippytoo and we both used icons from Hearthrob and staring at them, I just had this perfect little moment where I recalled how incredibly squeeful I was during the first airing of that episode ( Read more... )

Seriously! Heartthrob was so C/A-centric and I don't think they even tried to cover it up. He had a lot of time to think those three months away. And, I must say I bet a lot of that time was him thinking about how much his life changed and how important Cordy is to him along with Wes and Gunn.

Oh and I wanted to share the first two moments you mentioned:

Heee! Oh, first gif - that little eyebrow thing he does when they're hugging, it's like "Yay, she still likes me." :D

I'd bet my kids he felt as though he had to go all the way to Tibet to find out that everything he ever wanted or needed was in L.A. He looked like he came back with new knowledge, a new certainty. I loved it.

I remember the first time I watched Heartthrob, which wasn't really that long ago, but I had the most fangirlish squee attack. LOL I couldn't get beyond all this touching they were doing! It hit me like a train, and I basically had a fangasm while watching. The beginning and the end are my favorite parts, but the stuff in the middle is just as great. *sigh* Now I feel like watching it, hee! :D

It was so shiny and bright there for a second.

*nods* A great taste at what could have been were Joss Whedon not addicted to the tropes of Joss Whedon.

His tropes got old even before we got to the Season of Hell. I can't imagine he thinks anyone thinks it's 'brave' or 'original' anymore.

You're so observant. I had no idea we were using HT icons. LOL! I mean I didn't intentionally do it. I guess we're just connected on some spiritual level.

ITA about HT. I was smiling ear to ear all the way through that episode. And amazed at how beautiful the color was and how obviously they were matching Cordy and Angel up with all the blue on blue. *swoons still today*

They looked so damned good together in that episode, with all the coloring. Brown and blue - Angel's shirt was awesome and Cordy's tight little number under the jacket? Perfect.

We are connected - haven't you noticed how many times our icons seem to be "speaking" to each other? Or was that just me?
