I generally have little time for the prevailing zeitgeist of Sinophobia; moaning about China is normally useless and tends to ignore the fact that China, for all its faults, is a vastly better place, for her own people and the rest of us, than it was a generation ago, or two generations ago, or frankly at any time since the 16th Century. I know relatively little about China and Tibet, but from what little I do know:

Imagine a "Free Ireland" demonstration in Beijing in, say, about 1750 and also imagine that the Internet had existed then. What you seem to have there is the response of an Ulster Protestant. Paradoxically, this may even somewhat confirm your remark that: China, for all its faults, is a vastly better place, for her own people and the rest of us, than it was a generation ago.

18th-century England had a lot to be proud of - but that did not include its behaviour in Ireland. Similarly for 21st-century China and Tibet.
