Oh my goodness...this beautiful, poignant story has my insides all twisted up. I just...wow. You really do angst so well, and your writing style makes your stories hard to stop reading - which I truly wanted to do after the first segment, just knowing how much both of them were going to hurt by the end of it.

I personally think these two - and this love story - are so epic, they'll be the ones who make it, and it'll be amazing. That's what I desperately want to believe, at the very least. But your stories feel so real, and so perfectly capture these characters and that high school vibe...I mean it as a compliment from one writer to another that this story makes it just a bit difficult to write my own happy future!fic now.

In short, bravo. I love your stories and can't wait for more.

Oh, please write a happy future!fic - it would help get me get out of the doldrums I needed to play in to write this one. I've gone a half-written one of my own, but it was written after the pilot and is *so* non-canon now, I've just put it to rest.

Thank you for reviewing and and all of your wonderful compliments.

Hee hee. I already have written one! :D Two, actually, because the first one kind of created a future!'verse that I'm really enjoying writing in...and I have four more in the works. But seriously, incredible angsty fic like yours makes it tough to write the romantic, sweet stories with these two working out...although as I said, I believe they will! And I'll keep writing them, or at least attempting to do so...

I truly did love your story! Had to read it a second time. ;)

I don't know if this was sad.sad.sad., but it was very high school, and very true. Almost never really cuts it.

It left me pretty depressed at the end, so I figured it was fair warning (even if I really, really wanted to cop out with a happy ending after all). Thanks for reviewing.

Oh, suck! I wanted the happy ending here (you couldn't have at least given it to Artie? *wibbles*) and I got weepy angst. (And the story was sad too.)

I LOVED your Kurt, man on FIRE. That line about he's loyal only to himself and maybe Mercedes? Solid gold.

And the counterpoint between Artie's quiet realizations that what he wanted was in front of him all the time; all he had to do was ask, in between all the Kurt and Rachel words.

And Brittany was great; I love that we've all hung this huge meta-agreement characterization on this character who is still a cipher.

Great work. Even if the ending did stink. ;}

I didn't expect to write so much Kurt in, but there he was sticking his hand in the air, wiggling his fingers hello and I had to expand on him. :) Same thing with Brittany, so I'm glad you liked her.

Truthfully, I almost copped out and went with an I-Love-You ending, but I had to remind myself that wasn't the point. Rachel is selfish, Finn is too easily swayed by others(but growing out of it) and they would just cause each other a lot of pain at this stage. There's so much more than relationships at 16, you know?

The fact that one of my dearest friends is a real-life Finn makes me a lot more tolerant than I might otherwise be, I suppose, but Finn's going to grow up to be that man who is always solid, steady and loving and dependable as hell. Rachel will be sorry. ;}

Or he'll come out, make the fans happy, and Kurt will have the best husband ever.
