Something that's been on the list of home improvements is the furnace/AC. Since I have some time on my hands, I've been getting estimates from different companies (carrier, coleman, lennox and trane dealers). Those things are EXPENSIVE! I might start a donation drive at work (we have over 400 peeps working at the location)and collect spare glasses to donate to the shops that provided free glasses to low income folks. It would be a good thing.

Lenscrafters spends one day a month donating time and glasses/lens to people who are low income and do not have medicaid, if they are referred by a non profit agency. And most of them take the medical card which is a rare thing these days. It's a good thing as some might say.

The Lions club takes old glasses most optical places have drop offs and they do help people get glasses and hearing aids who cannot afford them. They would probably love to do a drive at your work.
