Belated Happy Birthday to randomtimes! Apologies, your birthday reminder email got lost in a pile of flail.

Since my head might get chopped off for this at Haven, I want to mention the latest ( XF2 spoiler )

What if you're writing a novel length post about Samantha and William and get tired typing the names for the 666th time? Can you then call them Sam and Will? Or if you're really tired and just can't be arsed to type?

LOL, I don't know how the spoiler free people are doing it. I want to know everything now plzkthnx. The way I see it, no amount of spoilers is going to detract from the sheer amazingness of seeing them on the big screen.

If you're that lazy, you shouldn't be typing fanfic. :P Hey, my name is Sam, I'm all for avoiding the long name stuff, it's just not CANON. If you want to shorten, can't you just use S and W?

I just wanted to offer up a big old' "Word" to your Sam and Will rant. I've seen it so often in fandom that I was seriously beginning to think my mind was playing tricks on me and that they really had been called such things in canon.

And thank you! I thought I was the only person in the world annoyed by this. Names tend to mean such a lot in XF world, and I don't like fandom playing with it.

I don't mind the gory bits but I hope it isn't a slasher free-for-all like you said. The part about stuff relating to season 4 is interesting.

i take all this with a grain of salt. i don't buy into anything unless i see proof. and even then, who knows (remember the fake call sheets?). :)
