I read this quote in a book by Jenny Colgan last week. I felt it was relevant to many of your interests, f-list.

That is absolutely true. I always read the chocolate lpictograms so that I can avoid the icky chocolates. ;)

Lol. So true! Okay, I've never had Revels (as far as I know), but I always thought that chocolate boxes aren't exactly full of surprises!

Revels are evil. You think you're putting a harmless raisin or toffee in your mouth, and then you're hit by something ridiculous like coffee or peanut. Wrong, is what it is. Like Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans but worse.

I never liked boxes of chocolates (idk is that good plural of it) so that quote - for me - always meant that life sucks. XD

We don't have Revels here, but a box of chocolates is exactly that to me: often unwelcome, there's no handy description sheet (many boxes here either don't have them or they mysteriously vanish), I only like max. 10% of the chocolates, and some of them probably even contain something I'm allergic to.

I get the quote, I just think this whole "life is like a box of chocolates" is one of those cases of YMMV. (some people like boxes of chocolates, some don't)
