I go through this cycle with Glee. It's ridiculous, and twee, and the song choices are getting worse and worse, and I don't really like any of the characters, and I don't know why I'm watching. And then I bitch about why I'm still watching when I don't know why. And then the next week? I watch all over again

Most of this season has been pretty cringe-worthy. But it was mostly really good this week. They did a Florence and the Machine song and it made me cry.

I use bella and Edward as an example of an unhealthy relationship when I teach relationships in psych. I also use behaviours of Edwards to demonstrate precursors of domestic abuse. I hope my 16-18 year old students will realise he's not the perfect boyfriend and that he's a creeeeeeep!

I ordered a ton of stuff from a government campaign about physical and emotional abuse within teenage relationships for summer camp. I was alarmed last year at some of the things the kids talked about re their boyfriends. o_O

Might be really worth looking at this ep. It talks about Domestic Violence in a way teenagers can really understand. The ep is called 'Choke', it's on youtube. x

Occasionally they get it right, I think. I actually thought this whole ep was pretty good all around (minus the Puck trying to rock thing).
