Mysteries that will never be solved:

- Why my hands and feet are always cold even when the rest of me is warm.
- Why this house is never, ever is clean no matter how hard we all try.
- How Mulder and Scully manage to be even hotter than usual in Drive- Why Joey's gag reflex is so 'good', he manages to throw up from spluttering with water all down ( Read more... )

I've taken to wearing hats and extra gloves in the house when my extremities are that cold :p

And, oh the eyef*ucking in that episode... even in quarantine and biohazard suits, Scully is hot.

My toes are the worst. I am nearly always in two pairs of socks and slippers or shoes over that. Glad it's not just me.

I worry about how hot Scully is in scrubs. It's not natural but it's so good!

It's the hair, or the clothes, or something. It's amazing whatever it is!

Yeah I think it may be the hair. Or the extra concern they have for each other in that ep. *ponders* Somethin'.

1. Because you live in a country with the shittiest damp cold weather ever. And/or possibly bad circulation.
2. You have a baby. Give up till he's about five.
3. I can't explain that one, it's a mystery of science.
4. You made me lol. At least he didn't poo...

I'm afraid it is a medical factoid that women tend to suffer from icy extremities much more than men. It is indeed a circulation problem, a common cause is something called Raynauds which effects 10 million people in the UK, 9 million of which are women! Apparently some successful treatments include omega 3, red wine and viagra! Did you know that the veggie version of omega 3 is alpha linolenic acid which can be found in walnuts, soya, tofu and green leafy veg? Apperently it's still not known why Raynauds effects women more than men, though I'm sure I have seen an explanation in the past. Here's an interesting snippet: the Egyptians thoughts on circulation in the Ebers papyrus is one of the first examples of scientific thought! Back in 16th century BC that was too.
I'm Mr Fact today.

I also agree with the hotness of Drive, thought that since it was first aired. Not sure I can pinpoint it either...

Lol, wiki is your friend, or do you actually know all that?! I know I get plenty of Omega 3 because I make sure I include it in my diet, and take a supplement just incase. Clearly I need to try the red wine route.
