OMG I thought about that song too! I was mildly alarmed by Morrissey's virulant anti-Americanism when we went to see him. He was riling up the crowd and they were booing and hurling abuse. Scary.

I can't really express how excited I am this morning! As an American living in Ohio (I live in a blue state!!! Holy Crap!) I'm really proud to have been a part of this.

I only hope though, that we all (and by we I mean the world) can be inspired by this and work together for the changes we so desperately need. Obama isn't superman, there is little he can do on his own. Its up to all of us to realize what an amazing chance we've been offered. Please God we will be worthy of it. :):):)

Lol, I was up watching the BBC live stream all night and they kept making fun of America. It was entertaining. :)

And I swear, being in the UK for this election has made it MORE exciting! All of the Americans I know are elated and a lot of the English (and non-English) people I know are excited as well.

About time for change! I wouldn't have believed I'd see the day a black guy would become the president of the USA until a few months ago!
