My Thoughts: Here I go again, short review because I'm reviewing this so long after reading the book...
All I really can say I remember is truly enjoying this book. Can't exactly put my finger on why though. I think it's because I really liked both Shasta and Aravis, our two main characters for this book. I like them as individual characters, I liked their relationships with others, I liked the way Lewis had them grow within this one story.
The fact that we got to see Narnia in it's Golden Age, and see the Kings Edmund and Peter and Queens Lucy and Susan at their prime felt like a treat to the loyal readers of the books.
Lewis stayed true to keeping the story moving and going, though near the end it started to drag a bit, but I could deal with that seeing as the whole story stayed at a steady, exciting pace.
I'm thinking, I may eventually re-read this, and then I'll be able to give it the proper review it deserves.
