Long time no see! I popped on here to tell you I'm going ahead with my first novel as a self-published one for a lot of reasons - I can explain if you e me. The main thing is, I've read several places now that publishers are looking at self-published authors whose work sells well, so it's possible I could get to a "traditional" publisher that way rather than through the ancient find-an-agent, then find-a-publisher route. I've found a place that isn't horribly costly and has a lot of nice features, so I'm going with them, I think (still researching though
