I have been saying for months that Evelyn was going to dress up like my niece for Halloween. Sissy is a rock star in Evelyn's mind. NO ONE compares to Sissy. Also, Sissy is a cheerleader and I found a really nice cheerleader outfit in my cousin's yard sale back in July. (Sadly, not the right colors, but still.) A cheerleader costume will be cute, even if no one knows she is really Sissy. I think it woudl be fun for her.

We took Erik to the Wiggles when he was a little younger than that and he LOVED it. He has no memory of it now, but it was def. worth the experience.

Great news on the weaning front! How nice that she is just sort of forgetting about it. I was surprised how little time it took Erik to forget it once I decided he was done. He was about Evie's age, I think.

Maybe you could just put a "My name is_____" sticker on her? You could also try teaching her a cheer - "I have spirit, yes I do; I have spirit, so can you!"

(Wow, believe it or not, but the question of toddler cheers has been asked at Yahoo. Here's one that's cute:
"Cheerleaders cheerleaders
we are the best
cheerleaders cheerleaders
better then the rest")

I hate blinking technology. My husband has a computer that has an LED on the cooling fan. When the computer is below a certain temperature, it has a strobe effect. It's SO DAMN ANNOYING.

Your thoughts on the whole extended breastfeeding thing, and your eventual waning enthusiasm, sound a lot like mine. Nathan nursed at bedtime and/or middle of the night till about age 2.5.

Blinking technology is lame. Who got paid to make things blink?
