The “ghosts” had appeared everywhere, all over the world, with no reasonable explanation. Sam had spent the last few months studying them and had only just come to the conclusion that their image was bleeding through from another dimension. She wasn’t sure what they were but she knew it wasn’t ghosts.
However most people, by now, were happy to think that the ghosts were loved ones returning to them in some way. Others thought they were alien-ghosts sent to watch over them. But everyone agreed they were harmless.
Until the day when the ghosts fully came through and everything changed.

Before anyone knew what was happening the Cybermen were everywhere. That’s what the ghosts called themselves now that they were physically here in our dimension. The Cybermen were in every home, every building, every street, all over the world. The invasion was an instant victory.
Sam and the rest of the SGC personnel weren’t going to take it lying down though. They were going to fight. They’d won against worse odds than this!
Replicators, Goa’uld, and stopping an Ori plague had prepared Sam well for a battle like this. Cybermen shmybermen this was her planet, she was gonna defend it.
