Ringing in the New Year - Part II

Title: Ringing in the New Year Part II.
I actually went to post the whole thing but it was too large, so I'm splitting it into two parts.
Disclaimer: These characters belong to Ryan Murphy...you know the rest. Who was it who recently asked: "Do we really need to put this in here anymore?" LOL.
Rating: NC-17 for naughty bits-a rarity for me.

Well, that was impressive. Every scene was very vivid. And some great one liners, just dropped in casually,as is one of your trademarks As for the boudoir sections (does anyone use that word any more? I'm sounding more and more Victorian), I am in awe, since I personally seem to be incapable of writing those kind of heat generating scenes. You should be proud of doing angst, too. It's good to get out of one's comfort zone. And if you can't do it here, among friends and fans, where can you?

LOL, thanks! Thank you for the kind words about the writing. You know I'm a fan of your style so it comes as quite a compliment.

I think you and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to smut-although...I remember the one story you wrote where Blair's mother interrupted them (which was freakin' hysterical, BTW)-that one was quite erotic with the handcuffs and all. But, yeah, I usually prefer to leave it implied. Although...I was telling Splendid that a friend asked me to come up with an idea for an erotic story because he had aspirations of making an (*ahem*) erotic movie. The story I came up with was about a shy, timid girl working at a museum who becomes possessed by the spirit of the Maquis de Sade. 'Marcie de Sade' was her name.

Thankfully that never saw the light of day. THAT never even made it to paper, LOL.

This was awesome =) So many things to comment on, not enough words to use as praise in the English language.

I loved the pillow stealing and then Jane (almost) putting two and two together. I loved that Sam is so gosh darn cute and recreated their date. And i love that those nagging insecurities were finally put to rest ;)

You rocked the known Bram world with this one, dude. ;) I can't wait to see what you have next for us ;)

I love this series that you've created; I seriously squee when I see that you've posted a story. I also get a kick out of the fact that it seems like Brooke is the take charge, aggressive one in the relationship; once she figured out what she wanted Sam, she was all systems go, haha. <3

Squee-ing is good! Achieving squeeage is a goal of mine, so thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I was a little worried about posting something this long, but no one seemed to mind so far :)

And thanks for the comments on Brooke. I was trying to portray her like that: she was a nervous wreck until the moment she kissed Sam-and then it was, like, WOW! And she quits worrying about all the periphery stuff and just allows herself to be happy. They deserve it.

*Whew* I'm glad the whole angst section worked out. That was born of the moment. I was playing the scene in my head and knew how I wanted the conversation to end (which is dialog that I ended up recycling for the next story). When all of a sudden this whole section started playing with Sam remembering it triggered from Harrison telling her about it. I was really intrigued by the new direction, but was so afraid it was going to go off the rails and turn into total melodrama.

Thanks for the nice words about the ending. I always felt that if they could just make that attempt and get over the fears they have it would be smooth sailing for the most part. They deserve it.

Yeah, what is it about this show? There's something magical about this pairing. I wrote one Xena fic a loooong time ago, and have never felt the desire to write fanfic for anything else. But I love the Bram. Lots of good stories going on at the moment, too. Anything happening with 'Sometimes These Things'?
