I've never read that. Should I? (Not this year, obviously, or my eyes will start bleeding and fall out. But I'm always looking for additions to my 'to read' list...)

Huh! I've always meant to read this, and my friends have always raved about how AMAZING it is. So it's nice to get a review that isn't all fangirly about it. It intimidates me :)

Actually, I'm feeling ready for the magical realism. I was all geared up for it before I read this, so now I'm all 'BRING ME AS MUCH MAGICAL REALISM AS YOU CAN CARRY, LATIN AMERICAN SAGE!!'
