I just learned that Wayne Anthony Allwine - the voice of Mickey Mouse since 1977 - died on May 18th. He was only 62 years old.

What's even more depressing was that he was married to the current voice of Minnie Mouse, Russi Taylor. :(

I never grew up with Walt's Mickey. For me, it was Wayne. Wayne's voice was the Mickey Mouse I grew up on. It's almost like Mickey Mouse went with him - especially since he and the voice of Minnie Mouse were actually married.
