Attention Swancon peeps!

I have spoken to the panel coordinator (Julian something ? ) about possibility of doing a panel on SFF and Romance but unfortunately no one else has spoken up about wanting to be in on that panel. Obviously Im not going to Swancon, but to assist you i recommend you look at the following links for useful info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_Library_100_Best_Novels

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_fiction_authors

Hence I would suggest that you focus on how SF and Romance are very rarely written together well and postulate reasons why.

I'm starting to consider the merits of a Terminator universe panel. I know I'd have plenty of material, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to coherently say what I want to say about it all.

I think that is why some people opt for writing and presentations, so they have everything they want to say already prepared.

Further thoughts. Considering romance and sff, my favourite sex scene in a movie is the one in Terminator, and I think the relationship between Sarah and Kyle is one of the most intense, heart-fluttery relationship ever. And it only lasted a day! (at least on Sarah's side, Kyle had been falling in love with her picture for a few years beforehand).
