Probably more than a year ago I started a knitting project with a number of yarn odds n' ends my grandmother gave me. Shortly before this I had learned the basics of entrelac, which involves knitting rows of squares and triangles to create something resembling a basket weave effect. Wound up giving the blanket to my niece for her birthday. She didn't want to hold it because to her being given a blanket means it's bedtime. Hopefully she'll enjoy it more at some point.
