Yay for new sewing projects! As I mentioned yesterday, I scored some fun fabric last weekend. Surprisingly, I managed to even do something with it- enough to wear it to work today!

Perhaps I was motivated by the threat of having to hand over the fabric to cosima_sf if I didn't use it in three months...but mostly I think it was just good timing. She gets

did you put in a zipper? if I could master that I would make ALL my own skirts.

Hell no- elastic all the way. It's not my favorite, but I have a fear of installing zippers. I've been remiss about sewing anything lately, so this was to get me back into it- I expect if I were feeling confident and brave I might attempt it next time.
