Looks to me like he's checking out what she's writing with her signature. Like, "Okay, I have my stuff I usually write, and by the time this signing period is over my hand will be hurting too much to even make it legible, but hey, I've got a new fanbase to win over here! Should I sign something vaguely sexually harrass-y, and/or Satanic? What's Jaime writing?" That kind of thing.
