yes. Happiness does begin with graitude. So does the recognition of love, actually. Salz, if you can't love yourself, you can't love God or anyone else. It may seem selfcentered, but know yourself. Dee is right love is sacrifice. You said you should stop being selfish and put others first. But she is also right YOU must love your self FIRST before you can love others. Help others because you want to not because you feel you have to. Then you will know love. Love isnt a duty or a job. Its something you do or sacrifice because your heart tells you to. So respect yourself. Don't be pridefull but respect yourself and love your self. I know your a caring person and thats a start but dont put your self down for others. there is a difference between self sacrifice and beating your self up and i think you know what it is. Jesus sacrificed it all but he always loved and respected himself and his cause even if he was affraid of it.
