[Though she hadn't met the new house guest other than just a curt nod and greeting when she first arrived, Presea did know about her. She was out right now, looking for a new cover for her axe, and perhaps finding new grips on her gloves. Hers were starting to wear out.
Of course, all that gets blown out the window once she flips through her journal - a new habit she picked up to keep herself occupied - and spots Kratos' message. She had known about the war, and was tempted to sign up, but the luxuries wasn't what she wanted. She just wanted to make sure her daddy back home was okay.
Right now, though, her not!daddy house mate came first. Presea quickens her pace, hurrying back home. He had refused the draft, she remembered. So then why...? When she arrives back home, the house is quiet, more quiet than usual, and empty. ...She doesn't like this. Not one bit.]

[His letter may have seemed brief, but only because he knew he was about to be taken away. In fact, he was surprised they let him stay in the village for this long.

[Presea finds her little gift easily enough and closes the door to her room. Sorry, Svala, but there'll be no dinner tonight, unless you really coerce it out of her. Presea's going to be in her room, on her bed, staring dimly at the wall and trying to figure out why her stomach feels funny.]

Setting her journal aside -Sigmund, Sigmund, she had to find Sigmund- she stands and makes her way to Presea's room. She hesitates -she hardly knows the girl- but knocks quietly anyway.]
