The Doctor sits outside the village under a tree, though with the way the sun is positioned, he's actually relaxing in the shade of the TARDIS. It's day two of solving a peculiar situation and he thinks it might even go on another few days. Or at least Jordan seems to think so

In his mind, the Doctor sighs. Looked like Jordan would get an early introduction to his best enemy. But on the outside, he simply nods, stuffs the stained glass piece into his inner pocket and follows the Master. He is supposed to be investigating, after all.

He catches up easily enough and frowns, playing with a piece of black glass. "I didn't think you were actually here. Hadn't seen you yet."

"Well right now you are," the Doctor mutters but he keeps walking with him. It is a lovely forest - part of the reason he's here at all - and he plucks a spiral of glass from a bush. He shoves his hands into his pockets and decides to try for casual conversation. "I don't suppose you're behind this, are you? You always did like cults."

"You still use them quite a lot," the Doctor points out. "I hope you're not summoning something. Like, say, an alien that's been buried under the village in stasis."

The Doctor pulls a face in return. "Because summoning daemons is very original," he snorts. Though privately he sulks. There goes the theory he worked on all morning.

"That doesn't make it original." The Doctor, perhaps, just feels like arguing. He can only assume that summoning may be involved but it really doesn't help if he doesn't know what is being summoned. Hopefully Jordan will discover something.
