Hey, they take language seriously. I commend them for it. Of course, I'm the Christian middle, and still I find myself damning things and people all over the place. It's bracing, and I don't mind when others do it. What I mind (and you may recall a discussion about this some fifteen years ago) is violent scatology, and since moving up north I've come to really mind casual blasphemy-- "Geez" is so much more offensive than outright cursing, because it says you don't take Jesus, or your own language, seriously. But if you read the Psalms, the authors are constantly cursing their enemies to Sheol. Lots of colorful invective in the Psalms. And better to be asking God to do those violent things than to go and do them oneself.
