[Faith's sitting a little gloomily on the roof of her house. There are Christmas lights strung up all around her (she never did get around to taking 'em down after Christmas once she got over the fact that hey, not gonna work) all lit up and happy-colored.]Anyone else feeling they're just a little bit in left field lookin' at ants while the ball ( Read more... )

Count me in, then. I'll be around.

[Later, more eveningish, Buffy shows up at her old house in full patrol regalia. Really, it pretty much consists of a fabulous outfit plus a few stakes tucked into her belt and the replica Slayer scythe slung over her shoulder.

[Window's open, just enough for that whole fresh air business and for Faith to yell out] It's open!

[She catches sight of him and does the sliiiightest little jumpy double-take. He has that effect, so not gonna lie. Then the recognition kicks it up a gear and she quirks a smile, gloominess going pretty quick.]

When it works, it works, huh?

[...He nods. He has no idea what she means, but he seems to be in a situation where he is supposed to agree, right?]

It is... impressive.

[she nudges on section with her boot] Heh, if Mouthy McLoud-ass could see 'em now.

Not the same effect without the snow bit, but hell if I'm not glad to be over and done with winter, y'know? Tramping around in a village down and out working snowploughs? Not my idea of a good time.
