Under the sea I always loved the holidays. Everyone would pool together their pearls (of course in the castle this wasn't that hard) and we'd string them all over for the new year. My father would make a fantastic light show with his triton and we would sing and sway (you can't dance much without legs!) in welcome of a fresh start

I just checked a map and I'm excited-- I figured out I can swim there. I'm thinking I can visit my family on the way there. I've been feeling a bit homesick since we were on the ship-- seeing all that ocean!

And I'm really glad we got some shore leave. I love sight seeing! I went to Treno early though, because I didn't want to miss getting back on the boat. Where are you now? Maybe we can meet up before getting back on the boat! I haven't gotten the chance to speak to you much, and you seem like a really interesting person! :)

My new year has been fine. Pretty uneventful so far, but nothing bad has happened, which is nice.
