Anyway, isn't interval training supposed to make you better able to vary your pace? What I probably need is someone to pace me... someone who doesn't mind riding a bike at say 10mph for 30, 40 minutes at a time...

I am trying to get to run once a week, which is not enough, and I don't actually manage it that often.

Interval training for you! I can stand with a stopwatch and beast you if you want. I feel I deserve to wreak some rewenge for those bloody hills!
