congrats on the programming test. i bet i used to be that clueless guy coding by hand...-__-; software is much easier when the compiler tells you all your errors. trial and error are my friends...

Oh we were coding on computers with assemblers (this was assembly language). It will help you with syntax mistakes, etc, but not if you completely don't understand how instructions work/how registers work/how to add, as I learned by observation yesterday. ;)
