Lulz two months into my doctoral program, I ~finally~ realized (about 5 years later than I should have) why I wanted to do EE. I had an ~epiphany~ while writing my personal statement for NSF. Yay no more awkward conversations like this: "So why did you choose EE?" "Um...because...um...I was good at math? And physics? And because I'm Asian?"

When I went to my dad's workplace when I was little, there would be these giant, blown-up chip layout printouts and die photos hanging everywhere. And I thought they were the most awesomesauce thing ever, because it was like legos for grownups.
