Picowrimo Day 8 - Alien Encounters (Stargate SG1 and Magnificent 7)

Inspired by last night's rambles on good but oh-so-ugly aliens :)

When replying to kerravonsen, I mentioned that "It would be fun if some of Our Heroes had to make nice with calm, reasonable allies that looked and sounded - and even smelled - like something out of an 80s horror flick gone wrong."

Well... a couple of them did this.

I love both of these - don't know the canons, but it really isn't required to get the general sense. Zombiesquidapoidwithfangsandtentacles rule OK!

Zombiesquidapoidwithfangsandtentacles FTW! I loved Jack's nod to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I'm not familiar with the Magnificent 7, but I loved the alien POV! I've seen it done before, but rarely so well.

Also . . . there's another unearthly screech, and it crashes and flumps in a gaudy heap . . . you have a lovely way with word choices -- the way you choose words with sounds that add another dimension to the mental images, especially in active passages. It's a very nice touch!
