That gives me nightmarish thoughts of a Blake's 7 crossover with 'Allo, 'Allo. :) I suppose the series had something in common, both being about resistance groups against a tyrannical regime.

Oh God, I am so glad I wasn't the only one who had that thought! The awful thing is, that though René was in character most like Vila, his figure was a bit Blakeish... and that of course would make Avon Michelle of the Resistance, complete with beret and white ankle socks - oh my, I so want someone to photoshop that!

And Servalan would get Herr Flick and von Smallhausen as henchmen... which is a fitting fate, I guess :)

*sniff* I think that by the time he got around to saying it, he lost his temper and forgot his lines & wound up with the 'wading in blood up to your armpits' speech.

Lovely. And also a painful might-have-been, because I think if Avon had managed to say it, Blake would have listened.

Or at least talked it out a little more... for two men who loved the sound of their own voices, they never did quite get the communicating thing. {sniffle}
