Naarmamo Day 1

Here we are, August and naarmamo! I will be doing my usual month of eclectic icons, all of them just for fun and on whatever strikes me on the day. Today, as usual, I start with a couple of arty icons...
They're from two covers from an old magazine I ran across on the web, called Modern Priscilla; both are 1910s style (which I am rather fond of) and

I especially like the one on the right (exactly the colour I pictured the Swiss Chalet School uniforms when first read the books). But I like them both.

That makes sense! I do see the style as close to Elsie Oxenham's Abby heroines - the period isn't too far off :)
