Visiting my parents in Saint Albans, WV for the weekend. Alternating between awesome family hangout time and ARGH ARGH BORED.

Somehow I feel that last sentence conveys a lot of the experience of being a young adult in WV, particularly for those living outside of the urban-ish Kanawha Valley.

I think the alternation between "yay family" and "BORED" is pretty much true of any return to family for people our age. It happens to me. I just feel sort of out of my element when I return, so I become more tired as well. Granted, it's still nice to return.

I understand between growing up in WV and my brother still living in St. Albans.

Wow, you have a brother in my hometown? Small world.

Yep, we grew up in Huntington WV. Then my parents divorced and my dad and brother moved to St. Albans, although I think you are probably too young to have gone to high school with him.
